n the puppy mill and the responsible breeder are other types of breeders. In terms of sheer numbers the vast majority of dogs come from people who breed only once. They might be hoping to make some income, but they aren't living on it. They quickly find out that puppy raising has a lot of pitfalls. They are generally clueless. They have no idea how to reduce genetic health problems, and indeed they have no thought at all they may contribute to poor genetic health. They are are so clueless, most of them, that they can't make good decisions because they don't know what they don't know. They fail to ask important questions because they don't know there ARE important questions to ask. The general term for these breeders is "backyard breeder" which isn't at all descriptive but the term seems to have stuck. -Diane Blackman 0 Out ╦S                 Ю+ └ W Н ЙЇт8 ╜ 08:30 PM 3/29/00 moosedog@moosedog.net re: General comment            ╘■ Н Й БЎт8 ╜! 08:38 PM 3/29/00 Christie LaCasse Re: [MOOSEDOG] T-shirts             ╘■ 4 ПНу8 ╜ 07:23 AM 3/30/00 Doug Logan Re: Wondering          " ╘■ J k Су8 ╜Б 07:38 AM 3/30/00 wbehee@bright.net
